Perhaps the most significant idea that I can deliver in regards to my faith is found in a reference to Sir Isaac Newton. Newton says:
I do not know what I may appear to the world, but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the sea-shore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.
The application here is clear—the world easily distracts us while a relationship with Christ, described here personally for me as "an ocean of truth," waits for us to test the waters and plunge into the deep.
